Prior to GEN3, he founded and led a strategy consulting firm that served leading companies in telecommunications, industrial products, financial services, transportation and retailing. He has served as a board member for several leveraged buyouts and new ventures.

Michael Treacy was formerly a Professor of Management at the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He received an engineering degree from The University of Toronto and his Ph.D. from MIT.

He is married with three children and resides in Needham, Massachusetts.
