As Sales/Marketing Director, she was responsible for all travel agency sales, corporate, vendor and community relations. She also held positions as Public Relations Manager and Customer Service Representative. Rita twice received the Southwest Airlines President's Award for Outstanding Achievement.

She has served on several Boards including the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau, Ronald McDonald House, TX Society Human Resources, and Vision 100. Rita currently serves on the National ASTD Board of Directors.
