Susie started her career as a successful Ford model in New York. Later, she became a host of HBO's "Entertainment News". While married to Sonny Bono, Susie also designed and ran two successful "Bono's" restaurants.
In addition to her career as a restauranteur, she was also a successful retail entrepreneur acquiring and selling celebrity collections with her "A Star is Worn" stores, in Los Angeles, California.
During that time, Susie simultaneously pursued her philanthropic interests and coined "clothes aid," making both clothing and financial contributions to more than 100 charities and non-profit organizations.
A true Renaissance woman with international style, Susie is of East Indian heritage, and was raised in England, France, and Washington D.C.
