I just returned last week from an event in the Midwest that I provide athletes for each year. This year’s lineup included football Hall of Famer Tony Dorsett and baseball Hall of Famer Andre Dawson. And while both did a great job and received rave reviews, the person who stole the show was someone named Butch Lumpkin.

Butch Lumpkin’s disability was a result of his mother taking the drug Thalidomide while she was pregnant to combat morning sickness.

Lumpkin wasn’t a professional athlete and didn’t have the name recognition of Dorsett and Dawson, but he’s the one that left the biggest impression. SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – Police reported that legendary golfer, Chi Chi Rodriguez, was robbed inside his home Wednesday by three assailants who stole cash and jewelry worth $500,000. Rodriguez says he’s doing just fine after being robbed at gunpoint in his home in Puerto Rico this morning.

TMZ just spoke with the 74-year-old golf legend, who told them four men broke into his place at 1:30 this morning, while he and his wife were sleeping. Chi Chi says one of the men tied up a security guard, while three other men rushed inside the home.
