Author: The NBA season is scheduled to start on Christmas day of 2011 if a tentative agreement between NBA players and owners that was reached early Saturday morning, Nov 26, is ratified which would end the lockout.

ROTTERDAM – Police were called to a home early Monday morning where Greg Halman, 24, MLB outfielder for the Seattle Mariners, was found stabbed to death in the city of Rotterdam in the Netherlands. The media reports that his younger brother, 22, has been arrested and is being questioned.
News that the NBA canceled games through Dec 15 was received by teams on Tuesday, Nov 15, hours before the locked-out players filed 2 antitrust lawsuits against the league in two states.

NBA players rejected the owners current labor proposal on Monday, Nov. 14, and are preparing to file an anti trust action against the owners and disband the union, putting the 2011-2011 basketball season in jeopardy.

In an ESPN video, John Saunders talks about the impact the NBA lockout will have on the game. Sanders says that this week NBA negoiations saw a near split in players ranks as leader Derek Fisher was accused of trying to cut a side deal with owners. Some threatened to leave the union and decertify.
