Each contestant performed three times. Stacey Solomon sang a duet with Michael Buble’ - Feeling Good, Joe McElderry sang a duet with George Michael – Don’t Let The Sun Go Down and Olly Murs sang a duet  with Robbie Williams – Angels. The contestants each repeated the songs from their first audition and their favorite songs of the series in an attempt to get through to tomorrow’s show.

Stacey Solomon  sings  Somewhere on X Factor Semi Finals.  WOW! That was spectacular. The ending gave me chills! I think after tonight,  it’s going to be Stacey and Joe in the finals.

Judges comments:

Louis:
“Stacey, oh my God. That was incredible. You’ve definitely got your mojo back. I didn’t like you in the first part, but that song was incredible. The diva from Dagenham. You took on such a big song. Dannii, well done.”

Cheryl:
“Oh my God, Stacey, that gave me goosebumps all over my body. That’s the best I’ve ever heard you sing. You put your heart and soul into that and we’ve got to see you in that final.”

Simon: “Stacey, you are back in the game, sweetheart. What I liked about that song in particular, was I loved the first part of the song where you had the voice we heard when we first heard you. That was the Stacey I really, really liked. Congratulations.”

Dannii: “Stacey, that was absolutely a perfect, perfect performance. You deserve this so much. You’ve worked really, really hard and come from absolutely no performing experience then get up there to do a performance like that, which was world class. You definitely deserve votes for the final.”

Stacey Solomon sings The Way You Make Me Feel on X Factor Semi Finals week.

Judges comments:

Louis: “Stacey, you’re in the semi-final and I’ve been a big fan of yours all along. However, I wasn’t crazy about the song. I don’t think the song really suited you. With you it’s all about the voice and I think the whole production took away from the voice. Sorry, I thought it was the wrong song.”

Cheryl: “I disagree, I thought it was absolutely fantastic. Talk about yummy mummy! You look hot, you look the best I’ve ever seen you, and it was lovely to see you moving around the stage and performing for once. I really enjoyed it.”

Simon:
“Well, it was fine, it just wasn’t you. It was gimmicky, silly, and with all the Michael Jackson songs in the world which you could have really, really nailed, for me that became too cabaret. You were thinking too much about getting from there to there, and what it did was it affected your vocals. You had too much to concentrate on. So I wouldn’t have done that, but the good news for you is you’ve got two songs tonight and I know you’ve got a fantastic second song. But that wasn’t the best performance I’ve heard from you.”

Dannii: “We’ve taken everything on board the judges have said for the whole series and put it together so you weren’t a ‘candle singing in the middle of the stage’. It doesn’t look like cabaret, this look suits you and you did it well. If you were an artist out there putting on a concert, you would be doing this. Any other singer would put on a show. If anything is affecting her vocals, it’s that she’s got infected teeth, that’s the only thing affecting her vocals.”

Stacey Solomon Sings The Way You Look Tonight by Elton on The X Factor – Live Show 8 – Round 2

Stacey Solomon- the way you look tonight

Stacey Solomon sings ' The Way You Look Tonight' on X Factor Live Show 8

Judges comments:

Louis:
“Stacey, you’re the last girl standing, and you certainly deserve to be in the final three. I wasn’t crazy about the song choice, I preferred you in round one to round two, but I like you an awful lot.”

Cheryl:
“You looked slightly uncomfortable in parts there. I would be.  You did have a lot to contend with and under the circumstances I thought you did a great job, Stacey.”

Simon: “I’m going to tell you why I didn’t like that song like I did the first song. Why I didn’t like the second song is you’re not a singer like Leona or Alex, you’re not one of those big belting singers. What I loved about your audition was you had a different kind of voice – more subtle, cooler. I think that’s why I’d use a wedding singer comparison. That doesn’t do you justice. That’s a very different performance from the first song, which was more original, so I wish you’d reversed the order.”

Dannii: “Stacey, that was a brilliant performance. I push you week after week to do more and more. I really, really loved it. I don’t know what Simon’s going on about!”

Stacey Solomon Sings Rule The World on The X Factor – Live Show 8 – Round 1. This was a bravo performance by Stacey.  I think that performance will put her in to the finals.

Judges comments:

Louis: “Stacey, I like you every week and nothing has changed this week. I think you’re getting and better, and what I really like about you is you don’t believe how good you are. You’re a really good singer and you so belong in the competition. I hope people vote for you. That was a very challenging song but you absolutely did it for me.”

Cheryl:
“That was a challenging song – I don’t think people realize how hard it is for you to sing a male vocal or in your case a male group vocal when you’re female. And you are the only female left so represent!”

Simon: “The advantage you’ve got with a girl singing a guy’s song is it’s not going to sound like a karaoke version. I thought it was very believable and the perfect song choice for you. I thought it was better than your song last week because it was a more interesting song.”

Dannii: “Stacey, that was an amazing performance. You’re emerging as the true star of this show. I don’t think people realize how much you’ve grown week after week. There’s incredible support for Dagenham Stace and we love you.”

Stacey Solomon sings I Can’t Make You Love Me during George Michael week on  X Factor – Live Show 7. Wow! Another great performance by Stacey.

Judges comments:

Louis: “Last week you absolutely sold it and what I want everyone to know about you is you’re not just a brilliant performer but you’re not phoney and you’ve got star quality. You will definitely be in the final. Dannii picked a brilliant song.”

Cheryl: “What’s happened now is that your voice has become as big as your personality which is what we were all waiting for. Great song choice but what you need to do now is believe you can win because the competition is at the point where you need to start believing in yourself because you could win – you could do it”

Simon: “It showed in the film that you are one of the most genuinely nicest people we have ever had on these shows. I think you’ve turned into a little star. I don’t think it was as good as last week because it was a bit mechanical – the last part was good, the first part was a bit clumsy but there is no question you are going to be here next week.”

Dannii: “It was such an elegant performance, so beautiful… I just have to say, this show is all about dreams and making people’s dreams come true and you have to believe that this can come true because they all do.”

Stacey Solomon from X Factor Sings What A Wonderful World

Stacey Solomon from The X Factor

Stacey Solomon 19, from Dagenham, Essex, debuted her version of Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World on The X Factor during audition night and boy did she wow the judges.

Stacey is very sweet and has the total look, personality and talent to go all the way. She is definitely a favorite of mine so far.

Stacey got pregnant when she was 17 years old stating: “I didn’t dream of having kids so young, but my parents were really good about it. Now, I want Zachary to be proud of me.”

Simon told her: “I am rarely surprised but I have to be honest with you that completely took me by surprise that performance. I think you are really, really good.”

Stacey works in a local pub at night and also studies musical theater while still managing to take care of Zachary.
