Greg Maddux Booking Agency Profile

Baseball great, Greg Maddux, was born on April 14, 1966 in San Angelo, Texas. Greg Maddux is currently a pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Maddux was the first pitcher in Major League history to win the Cy Young Award for four consecutive years (1992-1995), during which he had a 75-29 record with a 1.98 ERA while allowing less than one runner per inning.

Maddux is the only pitcher in MLB history to win at least 15 games in 17 consecutive seasons. In addition, he has been awarded a record seventeen Gold Gloves. A superb control pitcher, Maddux won more games during the 1990s than any other pitcher, and is now in sole possession of 8th place on the career wins list, with 355. Maddux is second, behind Warren Spahn, in career wins among pitchers whose entire careers were in the post-1920 live-ball era.

Greg Maddux is the premier pitcher in the game today. One of the best ever when comparing the distance between himself and the others in the league at the time. In an era of power hitters, Maddux proves that good pitching does exist, that good pitching beats good hitting. No other pitcher has won four consecutive Cy Young awards. After leaving the Chicago Cubs after the 1992 season, Greg has went 159-71 with a 2.80 ERA in 9 seasons. He has also won 3 Cy Young awards with the Braves. Over his career, spanning 16 years Greg is 257-146 with a 2.84 ERA, with 14 consecutive 15 or more win seasons. He has also won 12 Gold Glove awards, proving he not only has masterful control of his pitches, but awesome defense as well. He has also been a member of 8 National League All Star Teams
