Frazier led the Huskers to back-to-back national championships in 1994 and 1995, and he remains the only quarterback to have done so since the 1950s. The 1995 Nebraska squad is considered to have been one of the most dominant in the history of college football.
Frazier was never drafted in the NFL due to a serious blood clot in his left leg, a side effect of Crohnís disease.

When he arrived in Lincoln from Bradenton, Florida, the Huskers had suffered years of bowl game blowouts. Coach Tom Osborne made a strategic decision to recruit faster players at all positions in the early 1990s to compete with Miami (Fla.) and Florida State in the seemingly annual Orange Bowl matchups.

As a freshman, the 6-foot-1, 190 pound Frazier became the Huskersí starting quarterback halfway through the season. He won his debut, a 34-24 victory over Missouri.

As a sophomore, Frazier kept pace with Heisman Trophy winner Charlie Ward of Florida State in the Orange Bowl in a rematch from the season before, but fell just short of leading the Huskers to the National Championship because of a last minute drive by Ward and field goal by the Seminoles. Frazier was still named MVP of the National Championship despite the loss.

The following year was trying for Frazier as he battled a blood clot in his leg, which held him out of the second half of the regular season. The Huskers got back to the Orange Bowl with a 12-0 record and a shot at the National Championship. Frazier returned from his ailment to start. He was in and out of the lineup but led the Huskers to a come from behind win over the Miami Hurricanes to secure the Championship.

The following season, Frazier led Nebraska to another undefeated National Championship season. He earned his third-straight MVP nod in the National Championship game in the victory over the Florida Gators.

The NFL passed on Frazier, fearing the draft-ability of an option quarterback. Instead, Frazier signed with the Montreal Alouettes, but only appeared in one game. His short professional career came to an end after he had a life-threatening scare from complications from his blood clots.

After a brief stint in the CFL, Frazier served as assistant football coach at Baylor University and as assistant director of athletic development at Nebraska.

Frazier grew up in Bradenton, Florida and attended Manatee High School. Frazier is married and has two children.
