RENO, NV. — The 2013 Triple-A All-Star Luncheon, which takes place on Wednesday, July 17, will featured former Atlanta Braves pitcher and Baseball All-Star John Smoltz as their keynote speaker. The luncheon is scheduled to take place at 11:30 a.m.at Harrah’s Reno, which has signed on as the host hotel for the entire All-Star week. Former Atlanta Braves pitcher and eight-time Major League Baseball All-Star, John Smoltz, is a popular motivational speaker, says PFP Talent Agency.
According to event planners, All-Star players and field staff from both the Pacific Coast League and International League will be introduced, and owners, general managers and executives from around Triple-A baseball will be in attendance.
The 2013 Dolan Auto Group All-Star Game will take place that night, with the first pitch scheduled to take place at 6:05 p.m. PST.
Smoltz was a World Series Champion with the Atlanta Braves in 1995 and is now an analyst for MLB Network and Turner Sports. He is one of only 16 pitchers in MLB history to record 3,000 strikeouts during his career.
Smoltz, a born-again Christian, is also one of PFP Sports & Celebrity Talent Agency’s popular Christian speakers. Smoltz, a resident of Alpharetta, GA., has served as Chairman of the Board at Alpharetta-based King’s Ridge Christian School, and is a member of the Presbyterian Church in America. Smoltz is also a good friend of pro golfer Tiger Woods and the two often golf together. Woods has stated that Smoltz is the best golfer outside of the PGA Tour that he has observed. He is said to have a plus 4 handicap.
