LISLE, IL – Retired defensive tackle, Hall of Famer and Super Bowl Champion Dan Hampton will be the keynote speaker at the 14th annual Wake Up Your Spirit Breakfast on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. The event is scheduled for 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and will take place at the Krasa Center at Benedictine University, 5700 College Road, Lisle, IL 60532. Source: DuPagePads

Dan Hampton, recognized as one of the game’s most dedicated players, has an inspiring story to tell in his keynote speech entitled, “When someone believes in you, everything can change.”

According to the DuPagePads article the event, hosted by the DuPage Pads, will be to help raise funds to assist families and individuals who are homeless:

“Join over 400 community members for a warm breakfast, uplifting message and information about new programs and developments at DuPagePads. … Proceeds will assist families and individuals who are homeless in obtaining housing, supportive services and employment.”

Dan Hampton is a retired Hall of Fame defensive tackle who played twelve seasons for the Chicago Bears from 1979 to 1990. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002. Hampton was a first-round draft pick of the Chicago Bears in 1979 following an All-America season at the University of Arkansas. An outstanding and versatile defensive lineman, Hampton would play 12 seasons with the Bears. In 1986 the Bears went on to victory in Super Bowl XX destroying the New England Patriots 46 to 10.
