Brett Favre Receives Blow to Head in Vikings vs. Bears Monday Night Football (VIDEO)

Bears defensive end Corey Wootton sacked Brett Favre with a hard blow Monday night knocking him out of the Monday night football game as Chicago led the Minnesota Vikings 17-7 at halftime.

The injury prone quarterback’s head bounced off the frozen hard-rock turf causing a head injury. He was then replaced by rookie Joe Webb. The team said Favre’s return was doubtful.

In his post game news conference Favre sounded as if he had decided he wanted to play this one last game because it was at home.

“Why I would even consider playing, I have no idea,” Favre said. “I knew it was my last home game.

“And as crazy as it sounds, I was looking forward to playing in a blizzard,” he continued.

“I think my stubbornness, hard-headedness and stupidity is what has allowed me to play for 20 years.”
