Rick Dempsey to Appear at Annual Hanover Rotary Sports Night

HANOVER, PA. – Rick Dempsey, Baltimore Orioles 1983 World Series MVP, is set to appear at the Hanover Rotary Sports Night on January 27 at 6:30 p.m. at South Western High School near Hanover, Pennsylvania. Rick Dempsey is a top motivational speaker says booking agent PFP talent.

Dempsey, who is considered the greatest catcher of his era, is best known for his defense, playing 24 seasons in the Major Leagues, hitting .233 with 96 homers and 471 RBIs. He hit .385 in the 1983 World Series, when the Orioles beat the Phillies.

Also headlining the event are former NBA all star, Michael Adams and Jim Phelan, the longtime head coach at Mount St. Mary’s in Emmitsburg, Md.

Other guests include former Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Marty Bystrom, sprint-car driver Greg Hodnett and former Penn State ice hockey coach Joe Battista.

The master of ceremonies for the event will be Crockett and Campbell, the morning team on 98.5 FM The Peak.

In addition, 16 scholar-athletes from Hanover, South Western, Spring Grove and Delone Catholic high schools will be honored.
