Rick Pitino Inducted into Basketball Hall of Fame Just before Winning N.C.A.A. Title

ATLANTA, GA. — Congratulations to Louisville Coach, Rick Pitino, who became one of seven inductees elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame on Monday April 8, 2013, just before winning the 2013 N.C.A.A. title. Pitino, who just won his second national title, is the only men’s coach in N.C.A.A history to lead three different schools to the Final Four: Providence, Kentucky and Louisville. Rick Pitino is inducted into Basketball of Fame on April 8, 2013 just before winning the N.C.A.A. title. Rick Patino is also a dynamic motivational speaker and popular keynote speaker says PFP Sports and Celebrity Talent Agency.

It was only hours after the announcement that he had been elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, that Pitino tried to become the first coach in N.C.A.A. history to win national championships with two colleges when Louisville played Michigan at the Georgia Dome.

“It’s a pretty special distraction,” Pitino said at the Hall of Fame announcement in Atlanta, before his Cardinals went on to win, 82-76.

Pitino was joined by fellow inductees former UNLV coach Jerry Tarkanian, NBA all-star Gary Payton, former University of Houston Coach Guy Lewis and New York Knicks great Bernard King.

In addition to his many basketball accomplishments, Pitino is also a sought-after motivational speaker and successful author, having published “Success is a Choice: Ten Steps to Overachieving in Business and Life” and “Lead to Success”. “Success is a Choice” presents readers with strategies to build self-esteem, set goals, stay positive, thrive under pressure and learn from adversity.
