INDIAN WELLS, CA. — Former NBA legend, Magic Johnson, has been named the keynote speaker at Desert Christian Academy’s 24th annual auction gala fundraiser to be held on March 29th at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort in Indian Wells, California. The benefit is the school’s primary fundraiser for the school of 500 students. Tickets to the event are $150 per person. NEW YORK — Three MLB stars, Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine & Frank Thomas, were elected to the Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame, Wednesday January 8, on their first ballot debut. Greg Maddux and Tom Glavine will join their former Atlanta Braves manager, Bobby Cox, at the July 27 induction along with Joe Torre and Tony La Russa, also elected last month.
