Former NBA guard Jeff Hornacek was recently hired on May 28 as the new head coach of the Phoenix Suns. Hornacek, 50, who had been an assistant coach with the Utah Jazz since 2011, has agreed to a a three-year contract to join the Suns, according to media sources. Hornacek joins the Suns in his first head-coaching job at a time when the Suns are coming off a last place finish in the Western Conference at 25-57, the fourth worst record in the NBA.
