NEW YORK — Two-thirds of the Big Red Machine starting lineup signed autographs at the Western New York Sports Card Expo Saturday and Sunday at Batavia Downs Gaming which included Pete Rose, Johnny Bench, Tony Perez, Ken Griffey Sr., George Foster and Cesar Geronimo members of Cincinnati’s 1975 and ’76 World Series teams who signed at various times Saturday afternoon. With the recent induction of Jim Rice and Ricky Henderson into the Baseball Hall of Fame, it’s timely to look ahead at candidates for the next couple of classes.

A player must be retired for a minimum of five years to be eligible for the Hall of Fame. In order to be elected, a player must be mentioned on at least 75% of the ballots.
