Mike Tyson Returns to Boxing as a Promoter

Mike Tyson, former heavyweight boxing champion and now president of Iron Mike Productions, will make his boxing debut as a promoter on August 23 in upstate New York. His first event, featuring a super-featherweight title tussle, will take place at the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, N.Y. and will be televised on ESPN Friday Night Fights.

John Elway’s No 7 Jersey to be Retired by Stanford University

Former Broncos quarterback, John Elway, is about to have his No. 7 jersey retired by Stanford University. The honor is scheduled to take place during halftime at Stanford University’s home game against Oregon on Nov. 7, 2013. Elway will become the third Stanford quarterback to have his jersey retired along with Ernie Nevers (No. 1) and Jim Plunket (No. 16). Bills Parcells Delivers Pro Football Hall of Fame Induction Speech (VIDEO)

Former NY Giants coach, Bill Parcells, was recently inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and honored at the 2013 Enshrinement Ceremony that was held on Aug. 3, 2013 at Fawcett Stadium in Canton, Ohio. Dan Marino Makes Speaker Appearance at Charlotte Touchdown Club Luncheon

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — NFL Hall of Famer, Dan Marino, was the guest speaker as a part of the Charlotte Touchdown Club’s Luncheon Speaker Series held at the Westin Hotel ballroom Tuesday, July 30, in Charlotte, N.C. The Charlotte Observer reported that Marino answered questions for nearly an hour. He was asked about everything from Pittsburgh accents and Miami restaurants to concussion awareness and the potential for NFL expansion.
